Sustainability Commitment
As a small business owner, I believe it's my responsibility to operate as sustainably as I can. There is a growing concern with the amount of waste going on in the fabric industry and I try to make business decisions thoughtfully with environmental impacts in mind. I'm a big nature lover, and this passion shapes so much of my decision making process.

Handmade to Last
- Every product is 100% handmade by me in small batches in my home-based studio in Manitoba, Canada.
- I love the process of creating beautiful goods from quality materials that are made to last for years.

Materials
- Each item is made with top-notch designer 100% cotton fabric sourced from amazing female-owned Canadian small businesses!
- Sleeve linings are made with 100% cotton that's OEKO-TEX® certified with a high thread count for durability.
- Foam padded sleeves offer the best protection for your books or devices in the busy life of an on-the-go reader. I'm always on the lookout for a greener option to the (unfortunate) polyester foam, but I have yet to find one that provides the necessary protection.
- In 2024, I donated 30lbs of fabric scraps (2 years worth) to a volunteer who makes cat beds for Winnipeg pet rescues. From the beginning, I have kept all my scraps (foam and fabric) to be repurposed.

Packaging
- My policy is I'd rather a pretty earth over "pretty packaging."
- Your orders are shipped in eco-friendly, 100% recyclable, plastic-free packaging.
- Recycled kraft mailers and tissue, glassine paper, shipping tape and boxes that can be recycled or naturally composted (without a commercial composter). They cost me substantially more as a business, but they sure beat single use polymailers!
- Recycled paper for thank you cards and label stickers
