Making things responsibly

Sustainability

As a small business owner, I believe it’s my responsibility to operate as thoughtfully and sustainably as possible. I’m a lifelong nature lover, and that respect for the environment shapes how I run my business: using quality materials, sewing each sleeve with care in my home studio, and reducing waste whenever possible.

Thoughtful Materials

100% Cotton Fabric

Sourced from Canadian small businesses. Lining fabric is OEKO-TEX® certified.

Protective Foam Padding

Provides structure and unbeatable protection for books and devices.

Upcycled Scraps

Fabric and foam scraps are saved for reuse or donation. In the past, they have been used to make cat beds at a Winnipeg rescue.

Recyclable Packaging

Recycled-paper kraft mailers, boxes, tissue, stickers and cards that can be recycled or naturally composted (no commercial composter needed). Pretty earth > pretty packaging has always been my motto.

From scraps to snuggles

In 2024, I donated two years’ worth of fabric scraps to a local volunteer who makes cozy cat beds for Winnipeg pet rescues. From day one, I’ve saved fabric and foam scraps so they can be reused rather than wasted.
